Dr. Eric Hempel was born in La Grande, Oregon and graduated with honors from Eastern Oregon University with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. From EOU he attended the University of Utah's graduate program where he studied Molecular Biology/Human Genetics.
Dr. Hempel's next achievements were four years of medical school at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri and completing his residency through the Oregon Health Sciences University Cascades East program in Klamath Falls, Oregon. After three years of residency he decided to call Klamath Falls home and opened his private practice, Aspen Family Medicine & Aesthetics.
Since opening, there have been many changes to his medical practice, including the Medical Weight Loss program and the Medical Aesthetics program. Dr. Hempel is always listening to the interests and needs of his patients and has enjoyed the new aspects to his practice. Dr. Hempel has also addressed the need for dermatological medicine in Klamath Falls and sees many patients a day for skin issues such as cancers, warts, moles, rashes, and acne.
On a personal note, Dr. Eric Hempel has been married to his wife, Amy, for over twelve years. They have two children, Lauren and Corbin. Eric enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
